Happy Easter 2008

"Alas and did my Savior bleed and did my sovereign die? Would He devote that sacred Head for sinners such as I?
Refrain - At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light and the burden
of my sin rolled away, It was there by faith I received my sight and now I am happy all the day!"

Hutchison Girls Beat Up Wold & Hughes Boys!!!

JUST IN FROM MT. AIRY NEWS DESK!!

Tuesday brought to Mt. Airy an unusually heavy amount of rain. Possibly equal to the rain that Malawians have been experiencing this rainy season. Streets were flooded, limited visibility while driving, trees down, children washed away, a local family, the Wold's, had their backyard flooded, ... it was the the worst that this town has ever experienced. The Mayor issued life jackets to all residents under the age of 20 as a precautionary measure.

Nate, Ashley & Kathryn, our journalists, got some firsthand stories from the locals. We have published the most interesting story for your enjoyment.

Two local families, the Wolds and Hughes, decided to get together for a game of soccer. When the Hughes arrived in their inflatable raft, they waded down to the field with the Wolds. Unbeknownst to them, the Hutchison girls were also up for a rousing game of soccer. Christine and Kim, both tall, skilled and mean, put the boys at an overwhelming disadvantage. The two teams lined up, ankle deep in mud. Boys on one side. Girls on the other. Jeremiah blew the whistle and the game had begun.

It was a clean sheet for the girls. Clean sheets are usually seen as a result of effective defensive play even though a weak opposing offense may be as much to blame. We believe that they were both at play for the girls victory. During an interview, the humiliated Matt Wold made this comment, "I've never seen such skill and power combined together into one female team during my whole soccer playing career." Trevor, mud still dripping from his face, just kept repeating, "It must have been the rain."

The teams before the overwhelming victory!

Special thanks to Judah Hughes, Patrick Hughes, Joel Wold and Jeremiah Wold, all eyewitnesses to this incredible story, who willingly risked their lives to get this to us.

Introduction

Hey Guys,

Matthew and I (Kristine) have started this blog because we wanted to be able to keep you updated on our life here at home. Isn't technology wonderful? We will hopefully be updating it at least once a week. If anything big and important comes up... you will be... well... probably the last to hear about it :-) But at least you will know that it happened. We hope that you enjoy it. Everybody at home misses you guys and cannot wait for your return!
